I’ve just started playing online poker and I’ve refined my skill over the last month. I’ve gotten pretty good but I’m wondering whether this is a lucrative venture. I understand their ups and downs but I’m wondering what an advantagous smart player can make. I’m not the next Phil Ivey but I can hold my own.

You can expect to LOSE money. Unless you are above average, which is unlikely if you just started and you are playing for real money. Most everyone else is just as motivated as you. Stick to low limit games and work your way up. The best answer to your question is the truth and their is only one way to get that – don’t get it the expensive way by going in over confidently.
