The PPC Advertising Model

____________________________________________________________________________________________

PPC, in the industry of marketing and advertising, stands for Pay-Per-Click. Many used on websites, these are advertisements that companies pay their hosts every time someone follows the link, or clicks on the advertisement. Companies who offer the PPC advertisements often bid on keywords that can be used in a web search or content display from a website. They pay for the rights to place adds pertaining to that key word and then the host of the website usually has a rate or percentage they will earn for displaying the advertisement.

Most people are already familiar with Google and Yahoo! These are just two of the three biggest pay per click services, with the other being Microsoft AdCenter. Google Adwords is the best known and tends to bring in the majority of the search giant’s income. In 2010, for example, the company earned around twenty-eight billion dollars just from ads. This isn’t the only option, however. Google provides cost per thousand and banner ads, too. All these ads tend to appear when you do a Google search.

As for Yahoo! Search Marketing and Microsoft AdCenter, Yahoo! Bought out Overture Services inc. Overture Services offered a pay-for-placement marketing strategy. Advertisers could bid to be the first to show up when certain the web search was used for specific key words and phrases. This was effective for Overture Services, which was earning up to a dollar per click on an advertisement but Yahoo knew that it wasn’t effective for the people using the web search. So, when they took over, they started to use the formula Advertisers bid multiplied by the Quality score, which includes the relevancy to the keyword search, the click-through-rate, and the quality of the page that the user is sent to. This is similar to Google’s AdWords.

Microsoft AdCenter is used for MSN searches. The advertisements that were on MSN before Microsoft AdCenter was created, were from Overture and Yahoo!, now they have their own system, similar to Yahoo! And Google’s that gives them their own ranking of pay-per-click advertisements and ranking of advertisements as well.

The highest paying bidders will have their ads placed more often and they tend to come up more during searches on relevant subjects. PPC management also refers to those companies that can aid advertisers in finding the hottest spots to place the ads. These services check prices on relevant topics and keywords between all three advertising services and track the clicks and money made. This lets the company see exactly which campaign is working best.

PPC management also includes companies who help you find the most lucrative place for your advertisements. They compare offered prices based on subjects between all of the advertising networks, including Google, Yahoo! and Microsoft. This management is also going to track where your advertisement is placed, when and how many times it is clicked and whether or not it is effective in the relevancy to the article. For companies this is an easy way to get your advertisements out there and reach specific visitors. Many people use the internet every day, some even for their jobs, so for over 8 hours and with the right marketing model, advertisements will be seen more than once and if they are the highest bidding or the most relevant ads, they can bring in a large amount of revenue for advertisers and publishers.

If you are trying to enhance your businesses sales or leads you should look into PPC marketing with AdWords. Most thriving businesses will invest in a respectable ppc management company to offer them with the latest paid advertising.

They are bottom-feeder companies hoping grandma will sell her stash because she doesn't know any better. They give 25 cents on the dollar, cull it and sell for much higher.

I guess others would work less than what they are actually paying or a little bit more for the sake of the job.

Ich denke, alles was onpage ist, lässt sich relativ gut festmachen, aber in Sachen Linkbuilding wirds schon schwierig.

You're not earning more, but the top of the top is earning more. There is huge wage disparity between the top and everybody else.

Your 2-hour web search notwithstanding, Linear A is undecyphered, and the best case for it is that it is a very early form of Indo-European.

Pay-Per-Click for a City? I think not… Why not just run newspaper ads?! My guess would be that this is largely about Social Media Marketing…
