Looks like a great overview. Noobs should bookmark it. You forgot one major category up there though, social bookmarking.

Great list. One important thing though in regards to article marketing with EzineArticles.com.

EzineArticles doesn’t allow you to link with affiliate links. You can link to a top level domain (TLD) however that redirects to an affiliate page, although they tend to question that sometimes and the subject will be coming up a bit more in the future from the sounds of it.

It’s better, in my opinion, to link to your own pages. From there, you can link to any affiliate product you want, but more importantly, you can include an opt-in form for them to sign up for your newsletter so you can continually contact them and build a relationship with them. You’ll yield far better results this way in the end. Newbies can do this, but it takes some effort. It can also be done for free as well, but eventually you would want to have a good quality autoresponder like Aweber.

Anyway, that’s a whole other topic in and of itself. The point is that you can’t have affiliate links in EzineArticles author boxes. They’ll reject your submission. GoArticles does though – at least, last time I checked they did which was awhile ago.

Great advice! I would add that marketing doesn’t stop once you get someone to your site. Good content is what will get people to your site and keep them coming back. Also don’t underestimate the power of video. Promote your product and put it on youtube.

Yes great tips for newbies. Why don’t you try to re-edit your post and include something about social bookmarking.

Some good tips here. With article, as you cannot use affiliate links, you can link to a specific post on your blog, or to Squidoo lens/Hubpage.
