Anyone Who Has Their Own Business Offers Business Services

____________________________________________________________________________________________

Promoting an online business that provides a service has parallels with product businesses, but you’ll find significant differences. Of course it all depends on your service, but many are the kind that involves giving a quote to the potential customer.

But the interesting aspect many people encounter is there will often be lingering questions after the quote is given. Your thoughts can often play tricks on you immediately after the fact; questions and doubts about numerous things. If your quote is approved, then could you have gotten more from that prospect? If you are honest, then you may wonder if a higher price is completely fair. One thing that is pretty frequent with service providers is more work can sometimes happen with any job. This article is exactly about establishing accurate and fair rates structures in the services business online.

There are a thousand different service based businesses on the net, probably more. Why don’t we take a minute to look at something that is actually pretty important.

You do a lot more than sell a service; you offer valuable benefits to the businesses of your clients. Those are two totally different things, and the latter is much more powerful for your marketing. People tend to hold and view benefits they are aware of in a much completely different light. When someone thinks of a service provider, or receiving a service, there is a tremendously basic feeling attached to it. Plus there is nothing special about receiving “service.” So what you do is utilize the power of market positiioning; you do not provide a service – you offer people benefits.

Do you really know what you are worth? This process is really not about guessing, but you need to take a number of factors into account. It is nothing new or shocking that people tend to under-appreciate what they have to offer and the value of it.

The the greater part of service providers reflect people in general due to the fact what the providers do is grossly underestimate their real worth. But on the other hand you should never swing to the extreme reverse direction. If you are fairly inexperienced, then you need to charge accordingly. If you’re a little stuck about the way to approach this, then a great place is by going to Google. You may have to shop around, but simply browse on your service keywords and look at others who offer similar services as you. Naturally that will provide you with a real world idea of what people are charging.

The not so funny thing about it is people will do it even after you let them know what you charge. If you do that, drop your fees, then you won’t be respected by your client – and it seems like that you do not value yourself. Another point is that when you do this for someone, then that is a green light for them to keep trying to get more from you, for less.

What? Are you suggesting that just writing “organic” on the label doesn’t actually make it a truly organic/natural/earthy (pick your term) product? Businesses can’t just be trusted? That’s tragic.
