There are thousands of ways to make money online. some are easier, some are profitable, but that doesn’t change the situation: Just saying: I want to make money online is nondescript and not precise.

There is a whole world of opportunity out there for someone who is willing to do the work.

Following a blueprint will get you pretty far in life, smart people use proven systems. Before you can create your own system, you better learn someone else’s.

Picasso learned drawing and painting portraits of people correctly before he started to paint people with one eye and women with 3 breasts and become famous (and rich) for his cubist portraits.

He did not start that way. he didn’t try every cubist, revolutionary way of creating art before he learned how to do art one traditional way. once he mastered that: he could create his own system, experiment with different things.

Translating that to internet marketing: until you know one fool-proof way to make money, and actually make money, don’t swing for every great system and shiny/fast/amazing opportunity: you are going to fail. not if… you won’t, for sure.

You need to be able to walk before you can run a marathon, an obstacle course, or a triathlon… WALK!

1. eBay, Craigslist, selling stuff

2. Info product selling – this is the stuff most gurus sell: highly automatable

3. Selling physical products – you need inventory, and high risk

4. Affiliate marketing

6. Work at home jobs

7. Online network marketing (glorified commissioned salesperson)

8. Coaching and consulting (glorified freelancing)

9. Services (like Aweber)

12. Social network sites

13. Freelancing (webmaster, software, articles, sales letter, graphics, you name it)

14. Paid blogger (blogging for someone else’s product on your own blog)

15. Domainer (buying and selling domain names)

16. Get paid to… (surveys, etc.)

17. Trading (stock, etc.)

I will also mention my favorite, though it is not a way to make money, it’s a way to make many of these models work: email marketing. List building and then marketing to your list is the best way to start your online activities.
